PTC Sites That Pay Via Paypal

If you are a regular PTC user you will no doubt have become aware of problems some sites are having as a result of using Alert Pay as their payment processor. I am not 100% sure of the finer details but it seems Alert Pay is having issues processing credit card payments and this has caused problems for certain sites when it comes to paying their members.

Some of these sites have withdrawn Alert Pay as a payment processor altogether, or switched to using lesser known processors. This has caused great discussion in various PTC forums amongst honest members who are rightly concerned they are not going to be paid for all their hard work, due to circumstances beyond their control.

The only issues I have had with Alert Pay personally have been as a result of various PTC sites not being able to honour requested payments rather than with Alert Pay itself. For all the sites who have been able to process Alert Pay payment requests as normal like Bux P and Get Bux Today it has been business as usual, and any money I have requested Alert Pay to transfer to my bank account has been deposited without any issues.

So even though the focus of this blog entry is not to discuss the whys and wherefores of Alert Pay, I have had several people e mailing me saying that until all these issues with AP are sorted out they would feel safer using PTC sites that pay via Paypal.

As a general rule you find the PTC sites that are authorised to pay members via Paypal are very much in the minority – but they are almost always built on solid foundations.

Getting Referrals for PTC Sites

One of the questions I am most frequently asked is “how do I find referrals for PTC sites?” I have tried to address this issue in much more detail in my step by step guide, but the simple answer is there is no quick solution.

This does not, however mean to say it is not possible.

In this month’s entry I have tried to give you a brief rundown of what methods you should use if you want to find new referrals – and also what methods you should avoid if possible.

Free is not always best

Although I fully understand that many people reading this blog have not got any spare cash to pour into advertising, what you have to bear in mind is that time is also money. Using free marketing methods such as Traffic Exchanges and Safelists will certainly not cost you one penny, but if you get your marketing material wrong, I can tell you from experience that you could end up wasting hours of your precious time with nothing to show for your efforts.

If you cannot afford to use anything but free marketing methods to promote your PTC sites, then it is absolutely essential that you use a short, simple splash page which captures the name and e mail address of anyone who has an interest in what you have to offer, so you can follow up with them later. Obviously the best way to do this is to create your own web page and incorporate an autoresponder, but if you cannot do this, then promoting a downline building program such as Marketing Pond or Free Internet Money is a pretty good second option. (Please refer to the November entry in this blog for more details). If you would like to have a go at creating your own splash page there are a number of totally free services you can use.

One thing I advise you not to do is to use one of the pre designed PTC site splash pages when using free marketing methods. Unless it is a brand new program, the chances are there will be hundreds of other people already using the same splash page as you. And if you are lucky enough to attract any new referrals through these pages, most PTC sites do not provide you with their contact details, so you have no means of following up with them and offering support.

The best way to find PTC referrals

The best place to advertise your PTC sites is… at other PTC sites! By targeting your advertising directly at other paid to clickers you know you will be reaching people who understand the concept behind PTC sites and who know they will not get rich overnight.

Advertising at PTC sites is one of the cheapest forms of internet advertising there is. I’ve given you a breakdown of prices at the 3 PTC sites where I have had the most success over the last 6 months, but to summarise, for less than $2.50 you can expose your site to 1,000 targeted visitors. Even if only 1% of those visitors join your opportunity, that is 10 people who you know there is a pretty good chance will stick with it for a while. Compare this to how long it would take you to surf the Traffic Exchanges for 1000 non targeted visitors, I am sure you will see it is a small price to pay. Start small and try by experimenting with one campaign and see what sort of results you get. If you follow the above guidelines regarding using your own splash pages, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

The best places to advertise PTC sites

Below I have provided details of the cheapest advertising options available within each of the three featured PTC sites. There are many more advertising packages to choose from and the details can be found at each individual site.

1 – Word Linx - $9 for 5,000 $0.001 clicks, $15 for 10,000 $0.001 clicks

This is my top choice because above all else the results I have had from my advertising here have been pretty impressive. The last campaign I ran (for 5,000 visitors) resulted in over 70 new subscribers to my list. This site has been online for over 8 years now and it just keeps on getting bigger and better. New ads are published constantly throughout the day and members have the chance to earn down 10 levels of referrals. By advertising at Word Linx you are guaranteed to reach a massive audience worldwide.

2 – Clix Sense – $2.40 for 1,000 $0.001 clicks, $4.30 for 2,000 $0.001 clicks

Described by many as the king of PTC sites, Clix Sense has been online since 2007 and is probably one of the most widely advertised sites with a generous 8 tier referral program. Adverts are published constantly throughout the day and members can download a tool bar which tells them every time new a new ad becomes available to click on. The last campaign I ran for 2,000 clicks for a new PTC site called PTC Box resulted in 37 new referrals joining my downline.

3 – Get Bux Today $2.50 for 1,000 5 second ads, $4.30 for 2,000 5 second ads

Since its launch in February 2011 this site has proved that it is here for the long run. At the time of writing the membership base stands at an amazing 84,000+ and plenty of new adverts are published every day which gives members an incentive to log in regularly. My last advertising campaign for 2,000 clicks resulted in 27 new subscribers to my list.

The Many Advantages of Downline Building Programs

For those of you who have already subscribed to my list and viewed my Best Paying PTC website, you will already know that I am a big fan of downline building programs.

In my view, even though these programs are totally free to join they offer something of real value – especially for newcomers to the PTC world. Not only do they provide an opportunity to promote multiple PTC sites using one referral link, but they also have everything the beginner needs to get started, such as ready made splash pages and banners etc.

The people who operate downline building programs are generally pretty experienced marketers and if you do decide to join any of the programs I have reviewed over at Best Paying PTC, you will find plenty of sound advice in the different back offices.

Using Downline Building Programs to Build Your List Without an Autoresponder

If the thought of designing your own splash page and incorporating an autoresponder to build a list of subscribers scares the pants off you, by joining a downline building program you will have access to the names and e mail addresses of everyone who joins underneath you. All of these referrals are double opt in, so you can manually make a list of your own and make contact with them at a later stage.
From experience I can tell you that the sooner you make contact with a new referral after they have joined a program under you the better. Make sure you introduce yourself fully and offer them some quality advice. If you do this at the outset and you do not bombard them with unrelated e mails, they are far more likely to want to build a relationship with you in the future – and take notice of what you have to say.
With an autoresponder, you key in a series of follow up messages and specify at what intervals these need to be sent out. If you are managing a list manually, you will need to devise your own system for sending follow up e mails and keep a close record of the dates you need to contact different people – and with which message.
To cover yourself from being accused of spamming, you should always include a couple of lines down at the bottom of any follow up e mail you send to your referrals giving them the chance to be removed from your own personal list of contacts.Something along the lines of “This message has only been sent to those who previously expressed a direct interest in online money making programs through one of my referral links. If you would prefer not to hear from me again please reply to this e mail with "Remove me" in the subject line.” Although it is frustrating when a contact does ask to be removed, it is far better to cover yourself so you cannot be accused of sending unsolicited e mails in the future.

To rent or not to rent? That is the question

Since publishing my step by step guide to making money with PTC sites I have received a large number of e mails asking why I have not included any information in the guide about renting referrals.

I wanted to share my personal experience of renting referrals here with you which I think will explain why I have not recommended it as a method of making more money with PTC sites.

About a year ago I downloaded one of the many e books you see on the PTC circuit which claimed to show you a strategy for making serious money by renting referrals at Neobux. The idea was that after renting the referrals you would make sufficient money to be able to gradually increase the number of rented referrals, then go on and upgrade to a Golden membership and make even more money. The cost for the upgrade was around $85 at that time.

Knowing what a stable PTC program Neobux is, it all sounded very feasible - so I decided to try the strategy for myself and initially purchased 50 referrals for a 30 day period. This cost something in the region of $10. It was at this point that Neobux lowered the amount paid for their ads from $0.01 to $0.001. This made a big difference to everyone’s earnings, and also resulted in the site losing a lot of members. After the first 30 days I noticed that only 50% of the rented referrals had remained active for longer than a couple of days after purchase so I had one more try at replacing just the inactive referrals for another 30 days. I was, however starting to feel slightly disillusioned with the results. The next month the same thing happened again, and only 50% of the rented referrals remained active. I decided not to bother renewing the inactive referrals this time as it seemed like throwing good money after bad.

Over a period of 5 months I continued to renew only the active referrals until gradually, they all disappeared without trace, and I was only left with my faithful active direct referrals clicking away every day.

I decided to cut my losses and just stick to finding direct referrals in the future. This resulted in me being charged for not continuing to rent. When I looked at what I had spent on referrals as opposed to what I had made – I had not made any money. If I had upgraded to a golden membership I would have probably made a loss.

I strongly believe that active direct referrals are the only way forward if you want to make money with PTC sites. My own personal experience of renting referrals at Neobux only strengthened this belief. In my opinion there is no quick fix to building a bank of referrals. Furthermore, you should only ever consider upgrading when you have sufficient active direct referrals working with you to more than cover the cost of your upgrade. Thank you so much for visiting my new blog. This is the start of a new online adventure for me and I am really looking forward to it!

The main reason behind starting this blog is because I have had so much individual positive feedback about my new website Best Paying PTC. (Thank you to everyone who has e mailed me their comments - I really do appreciate your support.) So as well as replying to people individually I thought it would be a good idea to open up this blog and provide another avenue for paid to clickers to interact and share ideas with each other. We are working towards the same goal after all.

For those of you who don't know me - my name is Jill Webb and I live in the United Kingdom with my family. I have been working online part time for about 3 years now and since losing my regular job earlier this year due to government cuts I have now decided to fully focus on earning online.

One of the areas I have tested and explored over the last three years is ways to make money from PTC sites. This is an ongoing process and is certainly not a get rich quick way of making money. There have been many times over the last 3 years that I have thought I was totally wasting my time and felt like giving up - like so many people do just a few weeks after joining PTC sites. It is so easy to travel down a dead end street with all the scam sites out there and not only this but it is also very easy to waste a great deal of time using ineffective marketing methods to build your downline if you are not too sure of what you are doing. I know because I have done all of these things and had my fingers burnt!

But I am really glad I hung on in there and persevered, because over the last year I have started to see real results with my PTC activities. Now I have managed to stop all the time wasting activities and focus on the positive - and my 10 step plan to success with PTC sites is clearly laid out in my website Best Paying PTC for everyone to read.

But that is enough of plugging my website! The main focus of this blog will be discussing PTC experiences and ways we can all help each other.
